Here, we provide answers to our customers’ most frequently asked questions about Crewcare in relation to the COVID-19 situation.

What is Crewcare doing to protect its customers and staff against COVID-19?

Crewcare is following directives from the New Zealand Government and the Ministry of Health regarding the COVID-19 situation.

As of Wednesday, 25th of March 2020, we have paused our cleaning services for non-essential businesses.

Our head office staff are already working from home. All lines of communication remain open throughout this period.

Will services continue for essential businesses that still require cleaning?

Clients under the category of essential services have requested our crew to continue with their regular cleaning after the government specified that “any entity supplying services to an essential workplace that are required for the safe operation of that workplace (e.g. cleaning, security services)” are exempt from the lockdown.

Cleaners handling these essential sites have been instructed to continue based on the client’s cleaning requirements. Rest assured that we have repeatedly emphasized that they should clean according to their training to avoid cross-contamination and to keep themselves safe.

How are you cleaning essential business spaces?

In light of the fluid situation regarding COVID-19, we remain vigilant and we’re still up-to-date with the most recent cleaning, safety, and infection prevention protocols recommended by global experts.

We have been sourcing and implementing EPA-approved chemicals for use against this virus even before the lockdown and we have distributed these to our crew who will be working in offices of essential service providers.

Cleaning teams have been advised on correct PPE to ensure their safety while cleaning.

Correct cleaning procedures and chemical use have been reiterated as have practices to avoid cross-contamination.

Do you offer services designed to help stop the spread of COVID-19?

Yes we do. We work with our sister company Chemcare to provide a higher level of cleaning to customers who need to safely decontaminate their site.

Note however that this will attract an additional charge and pricing will be available on an as-required basis.

Where can I request to stop/pause cleaning in my site?

When will you resume cleaning?

We will resume cleaning contracts for non-essential businesses once the virus passes through and things are back to normal.

I wish to change the cleaning frequency or fully terminate my contract after the lockdown. What should I do?

If you wish to change your contract with us, please reach out to info@crewcare.co.nz or contact 0800 800 209.

If you wish to fully terminate the contract, please note that we will be requiring one month’s notice.
